Colour: Dense, blood cherry red with purple hues

Nose: Lifted aromas of blue and dark berry fruit, menthol, underlying herbaceous notes of tobacco and ivy leaf with light subtle toasty notes and well integrated cedar oak.

Palate: Medium bodied, soft fleshy mouth feel with well balanced acidity and fine, slightly dusty tannins. Flavours of blue and dark berry fruits, hints of dry herbs, fresh tea and subtle earthy notes carry through onto the palate with good length and a firm full finish.

The wine is certainly approachable now, though will age well over the next 5-8 years. The tannins will soften and integrate with age, adding mid palate richness.

A perfect pair with chargrilled Zatar crusted Beef Rib-eye and crispy sweet potato shards with wild mushroom jus.
