Mojo was once referred to as a magical charm or amulet containing special powers. It was these supernatural powers that protected from evil or crossed conditions and evoked the bringing of good karma.
The secret of our Mojo lies in its ‘magnetism’, with funky branding and great wine. The wines are in keeping with Winemaker, Tim Burvill’s power-packed fruit driven style. Mojo Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from the cool climes of the Adelaide Hills, whilst the red hails from old vine Barossa Valley Shiraz and has spent two years maturing in French oak.
In only very select vintages, say 1998 and 2002, does Mother Nature make it easy for you to make good wine. Fortunately, 2006 also turned out to be one of these vintages, and I’d have to say that it is up there with one of the fi nest vintages I’ve seen from the Barossa. There was just so much intensity of fl avour in the fruit, and the colour was squid ink black after only a few hours on skins. It’s fantastic to fi nally have this wine in the bottle, and if you have a soft spot for Aussie Shiraz, you are going to love this wine. Just be careful of spilling this one on the carpet...
I think it will be hard to get the stain out!

Palate Big, ripe and spicy. This wine is a real mouthful, and is certainly no shrinking violet. Loaded with fl avours of ripe plums, blueberry’s and sweet oak, it is hedonistically rich but has an elegance that stops it from being over the top. It is magnificent drinking now, but will also develop and improve for many years.
Service Mojo Shiraz will drink perfectly with a choice cut of Australian grain fed beef with a side dish of organic garden vegetables and freshly baked bread.
Cellaring 2-4 years
