Grape Varietal: Chardonnay

Colour: Brilliant pale to mid straw in colour with a bright green hue.

Aroma: Fresh stonefruit and citrus zest dominate the aroma, with added layers of cashew, shortbread and fresh toast from the natural fermentation and a small percentage of barrel fermentation.

Palate: The palate displays delightful complex layers of sweet peach, juicy nectarine and savoury flavours. These characters combine beautifully with a tight lengthy and refreshing finish.

Peak Drinking: While drinking beautifully now, with youthful and fresh flavours, it will develop a multitude of complex aged characters with careful cellaring over the next few years.

This Chardonnay was harvested during the cool of the night to ensure the fresh, crisp fruit flavours were preserved. Following destemming, the grapes were gently pressed with a portion of free run juice kept separate for the final blend. Fermentation was completed in French oak. After seven months on oak, the final blend was assembled prior to a light fining and bottling.
